About this site:
This is a blog meant to inform and persuade the general public about dangerous diseases and how to prevent them, namely Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Polio and how to prevent them, namely via vaccines. There are may strong opinions floating about on modern medicine and the MMR vaccine in general and it is my hope that I can possibly shed some light on some dark and nebulous misinformation and unknown truths. If you self-identify as anti-vaxxer, anti-BigPharma or a huge Oprah Fan, some of the information on this blog WILL UPSET YOU. But I have compiled mounds of peer-reviewed and up-to-date information on this site, and I promise that I post this blog not out of self-interest but out of a desire to help humanity achieve greatness through science and reason. To learn more, Click Here to watch a short video about the MMR vaccine and the bogus controversy attached to it.
About Autism: ever since I posted Don’t Vaccine’s Cause Autism? I feel the need to include a section on my experiences with autism. I was diagnosed when I was a freshman in high school, and have experienced familial abuse and bullying because of my condition. I’ve been called insane, I’ve had my thoughts and feelings ignored, I’ve been told “it’s all in your head” and treated as a pariah by my community. But it’s not all bad; I’ve found friends in college, I’m excited about majoring in computer science and I’ve since moved away from abusive influences in my life. But that doesn’t stop an ablest society from using my condition as a talking point and letting feelings cloud reason and fact. Part of the reason why I started this blog is to remind people that autistic individuals do have a voice in this issue and that, even if vaccines did have a link to autism it’s not a fate worse than death. I’d rather live to be a 100 year old autistic woman than die young of measles any day.
